AI & Educational Guidance Notice
Last updated: Version 1.0
1. What Toodoo is
Tutor Toodoo is an artificial-intelligence tutor. It explains ideas at the learner's level, demonstrates worked examples, sets practice, checks reasoning and understanding, corrects misconceptions and records evidence of learning. It is designed to teach — not to hand over answers.
2. What Toodoo is not
- Toodoo is not a teacher, doctor, psychologist, therapist or any other qualified professional.
- Toodoo never diagnoses or suggests medical, psychological, learning or behavioural conditions, and never speculates about them.
- Toodoo is not an emergency or crisis service. If a learner's messages suggest a safety concern, the platform directs the family to appropriate support services.
3. Honest evidence
Understanding is never assumed. Saying "I understand", finishing a lesson or getting one answer right does not count as mastery. Toodoo asks the learner to explain and apply ideas independently, and classifies concepts as Demonstrated, Developing or Not enough evidence yet based on recorded evidence only. Where evidence is thin, the platform says so instead of guessing.
4. Uploaded material
When a photo, screenshot, PDF or voice note is uploaded, it is analysed by AI on secured server-side infrastructure. Toodoo reports only what it can genuinely read. If material is blurred, cropped or unreadable, Toodoo says so — it never pretends to have read content it could not process. Timetables and marks are saved only after a person confirms them.
5. Recommendations
Suggestions — including any recommendation to consider additional tutor support — are educational guidance based on recorded evidence of persistent difficulty despite Toodoo's support. The final decision always rests with the parent/guardian (or the adult learner).
6. Data use and limits
AI features use only the minimum authorised learner context needed for the task, isolated per learner. AI keys and processing never appear in the learner's or parent's browser. AI output can occasionally be wrong; evidence records and confirmed input from parents, learners or educators (such as verified marks) always take precedence over AI interpretation.
7. Your choice
By using Toodoo you acknowledge this notice. If you do not want AI features used for a learner, do not activate them — core tracking features remain available, and you can ask us about options through a deletion or support request.
