1. What SchoolTooDoo is
SchoolTooDoo is an academic success platform. Tutor Toodoo is an AI tutor that teaches, demonstrates, sets practice and checks understanding, and the platform keeps an evidence record of learning so parents and guardians can see genuine progress.
SchoolTooDoo is an educational support tool. It does not replace school, teachers, or qualified professionals, and it never diagnoses medical, psychological, learning or behavioural conditions.
2. Accounts and roles
Parents/guardians manage learners under 18 and control their records. Adult learners manage themselves. Learner accounts created by a parent/guardian are for the named learner only. You are responsible for keeping sign-in credentials confidential and for activity on your account.
You must provide accurate information (including the learner's date of birth, which we use to apply child/adult safeguards) and keep it up to date.
3. Free trial, subscription and payment
Each learner you add starts with a 14-day free trial. We do not ask for or store any payment details to begin the trial, and no card or account is charged during it. The trial gives full access to the paid academic features for that learner only, and the trial period is recorded and enforced on our servers.
The free trial does not convert automatically into a paid subscription. When the 14 days end, the paid academic features simply lock for that learner — no charge occurs, and no payment can occur, because we hold no payment details. Everything already saved for that learner stays saved. A subscription only ever begins if you explicitly choose to activate it with PayFast, which you may do during or after the trial.
SchoolTooDoo costs R250 per learner per month. Each learner has their own subscription. There are no tiers, packages or bundles.
Payment is processed by PayFast. A subscription becomes active only after PayFast confirms payment to our systems — visiting a payment page or clicking a button is not activation. The subscription renews monthly until cancelled. You may request cancellation at any time from the dashboard; PayFast then confirms the cancellation, no further renewals are billed after confirmation, and access continues until the end of the paid period either way. If a renewal payment fails, access continues for a 3-day grace period while PayFast retries; if payment still fails after that, paid features pause until a successful payment, which restores access immediately. We do not apply hidden charges: the recurring amount is R250 per learner per month unless we give you clear advance notice of a change and the chance to cancel.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- share accounts between learners or use another person's account;
- upload content you have no right to share, or unlawful, harmful or abusive content;
- attempt to access other learners' or families' data;
- misuse Toodoo to produce work to submit as your own without learning (Toodoo is designed to teach, not to do homework for the learner);
- interfere with the platform's security or operation.
5. Educational evidence and honesty
Progress, mastery and performance shown in SchoolTooDoo come from actual activity and recorded evidence. Where there is not enough evidence, the platform says so rather than estimating. Recommendations (including any suggestion of additional tutor support) are educational guidance based on recorded evidence, not professional or medical advice.
6. Intellectual property
You retain ownership of the content you upload (homework, results, documents). You grant us the limited right to process it to provide the service — including analysis by our AI tutoring systems — and nothing more. SchoolTooDoo's software, branding and content remain ours.
7. Liability
We work hard to keep SchoolTooDoo accurate and available, but the service is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by South African law (including the Consumer Protection Act), we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
8. Changes and termination
If we change these terms materially, we will notify you in the platform and, where required, ask you to accept the new version before continued paid use. You may stop using SchoolTooDoo at any time by cancelling subscriptions and requesting account deletion from the dashboard.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
